SINGLE ENDED OUTPUT TRANSFORMERS
Single Ended Guitar Amp Circuits are generally lower power (5 to 20Watt ) units that ring with all the harmonics a guitar and tube can transmit. The SE Output Transformer needs to deal with DC Currents as it conveys an AC signal to your speaker(s). This means you need a relatively large core with a gap in the magnetic field as compared to a Push Pull transformer.
TYPICAL DC CURRENT REQUIREMENTS for VARIOUS VACUUM TUBES:
(Ref Duncan's Amp Page)
